Xypoint^® LBS Mobile Client

The Xypoint^® LBS Mobile Client (XLMC) provides client side support for network initiated location requests. The client supports the following key location services:

• Geofencing: handset-based geofencing to enable real-time tracking of mobile handsets and receive alerts when entering or existing geographic zones.
• Single-shot location: single location request based on application's specific requests.
• Standards-based interfaces: support for standards-based integration with network based location platforms with support for MLP.

Network-based location services

The XLMC integrates with both the Xypoint Location Services Gateway for CDMA networks and the Xypoint Location Services Gateway for GSM networks, allowing operators to provide an end-to-end location solution for deploying secure, reliable, flexible locations services to their handsets. With the XMLC and XLSG, carriers are able to offer their developers a compelling set of location solutions while managing the cost of the locations services. 

The XLMC supports various handset and PC-based operating systems including BREW, RIM, Windows Mobile, and Windows XP.
