SNAP Suite In response to the warfighter's requirement for highly portable and interoperable tactical communications access for mission critical data while on remote assignment, TCS offers the SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP) Suite of deployable satellite communication products. The SNAP Suite provides interoperability among three different SATCOM terminals utilizing Ku, Ka, X-band frequencies with L-band service available via the E500 BGAN terminal. It includes three interchangeable baseband solutions as well as an UPS System and laptop/VoIP phone accessories case to provide the warfighter with compact, lightweight, highly configurable SIPR/NIPR communications packages. Bottom line: warfighters get the compact, easy-to-configure communication tools that keep them moving forward. SNAP VSAT Overview TCS offers two standard SNAP VSAT terminals featuring a unique pack-in-the-box pedestal design that is lightweight with fewer moving parts. - SNAP 1.2M VSAT terminal—A pack-in-the-box Ku VSAT solution that also provides Ka connectivity with a simple feed boom assembly swap. It is designed for rapid deployment and ease of use in harsh operating environments.
- SNAP 2.0M VSAT terminal—Four-modem capable and interfaces with the SNAP Rack/Stack Baseband and SNAP Embedded Network Package. As part of the SNAP suite of products, these packages provide the flexibility of multiple configuration options for the end-user.
SNAP Baseband IP Kits Overview SNAP baseband packages are developed with proven components efficiently integrated into the smallest physical footprint possible without compromising performance in a variety of application environments. All three baseband packages allow for physical separation between NIPR and SIPR equipment and support HAIPE-compliant, Type 1 encryption. - SNAP Rack/Stack Baseband—Enables easy access to internal components, physical separation between the SIPR and NIPR equipment, and allows end-users the flexibility of communicating across Ku, Ka, and X-bands with a network package that has been successfully fielded in harsh environments.
- SNAP Embedded Network Package—Compact and lightweight and delivers robust communications capabilities in a small footprint. The SIPR and NIPR modules are physically separated and packed in a custom foam lined case. Interfacing with the SwiftLink SNAP 1.2M and 2.0M VSAT terminals, the SNAP Embedded Network Package allows end-users the flexibility of multiple communications configurations.
