Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $1.0 Million Contract for High Speed Satellite Modems with Turbo Product Coding

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., has received a $1.0 million contract for its high speed satellite modems, including the signature CDM-600 variable open network modem, with turbo product coding (TPC).
Comtech's modems can significantly increase the efficiency of a satellite earth station using its highly advanced TPC technique of forward error correction that significantly reduces both power and spectral occupancy of satellite signals resulting in substantial satellite transponder cost savings. The modems will be used by a systems integrator for applications throughout Asia.
