Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Announces Award of Contract for Solid State High Power Amplifier and Switching Subsystems Melville, New York - March 11, 1998 - Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) announced today the award from Thomson CSF to its New York operating unit, Comtech PST Corp. (CPST), of a contract for $3,250,000 for a series of solid state high power amplifier and switching subsystems operating over a broadband frequency range from 20 - 500 MHz at power levels up to 1 KW for use in their state-of-the-art electronic warfare system.

The CPST solid state high power amplifier systems incorporate the latest technology in high power solid state switches to effectively jam the signals from frequency hopping radios.
