GSA SATCOM-II TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) is a Prime contractor SATCOM-II is a General Services Administration (GSA) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract vehicle, set up as the primary vehicle for Federal Government satellite services. SATCOM-II encompasses all satellite products and services, including bandwidth. Customers may purchase directly from TCS’ SATCOM-II schedule, or request the GSA to purchase from TCS’ schedule on their behalf. Three service types are provided under the SATCOM-II contract: Service Type I: Satellite Transport services - encompasses mobile and fixed satellite services, including VSAT. For fixed satellite service, TCS provides: - SwiftLink® Managed Satellite Service
- SwiftLink® VSAT products
- SwiftLink® DVM products
- TCS Manassas International Teleport
- Loral XTAR (X-Band)
Service Type II: Satellite Applications services - encompasses distance learning, emergency response/Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planning, telemedicine, streaming video, and broadcast satellite services. All SwiftLink DVM products are for emergency response/COOP satellite solutions. - COOP Analysis & Reporting Service (CARS)
- MyCOOP Continuity of Operations planning
- Generators and UPSs
Service Type III: Satellite Design, Engineering, and Maintenance Services - encompasses the design, engineering, and maintenance of products provided under Service Types 1 and 2. - SwiftLink home station design, engineering, installation and training
- SwitfLink product support services for equipment from Service Types 1 and 2
- Contract type: Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)
Contract period: 5 years (May 2007 to May 2012)
